Product Introduction

An industrial RO water treatment plant, also known as an industrial reverse osmosis water purification system or industrial RO system, is a water treatment facility that uses reverse osmosis (RO) membrane separation technology to produce industrial-grade pure water. It efficiently removes dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, organic matter, and other impurities from water, with a desalination rate typically reaching 95% to 99% or higher. As the core equipment for industrial pure water production, the industrial RO water treatment plant offers advantages such as high purification efficiency, stable operation, a high degree of automation, modular design, and low maintenance costs. It can be customized to suit different water sources and process requirements and is widely used in the electronics, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, power generation, chemical, boiler feedwater, and seawater desalination sectors, providing stable, reliable, and high-quality water for various industrial production processes.

Working Principle of Industrial RO Water Treatment Plant

  • Raw Water Pretreatment (Pre-Treatment)
Equipment such as quartz sand filters, activated carbon filters, and water softeners is used to remove suspended solids, residual chlorine, organic matter, and hardness, thereby protecting the RO membranes.
  • Fine Filtration
A 5-μm security filter is used to further trap fine particles and prevent impurities from entering the reverse osmosis system.
  • High-Pressure Pumping
A high-pressure pump pressurizes the raw water to a level higher than osmotic pressure, providing a stable operating pressure for the reverse osmosis membranes.
  • Reverse Osmosis Filtration
Water molecules pass through the RO membranes, while dissolved salts, bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, and most organic compounds are retained, achieving highly efficient purification.
  • Permeate Water Collection
The purified water enters the purified water tank and can be used directly in industrial production or fed into a subsequent ultrapure water treatment system.
  • Concentrate Discharge
Impurities retained by the RO membranes are discharged from the system with the concentrate, ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of the membrane elements.
  • Automatic Control and Monitoring
The PLC control system monitors key parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and conductivity in real time, enabling automatic operation, alarm functions, and maintenance management.

Water Treatment Flow Chart: Raw Water Tank—Raw Water Pump—Multi-Media Filter—Activated Carbon Filter—Water Softener (Sodium Ion Exchanger)—Precision Filter—RO Main Unit (including chemical cleaning device)—Ozone Generator—Finished Product

  • Silica Sand Filter: It can remove the suspended solids and gluten particles in the water, thus reducing the turbidity of the water.
  • Active Carbon Filter: It can remove the pigment, smell, and a large number of biological organisms in the water, softening the water.
  • Sodium ion exchanger: It can remove calcium and magnesium ions in the water, so as to soften the water.
  • Precision Filter: It can ensure that the granularity of the water entering the reverse osmosis membrane is less than 0.1 μm.
  • Reverse Osmosis: The Reverse Osmosis device is an equipment to purify the saline water through the action of a pressure difference across a semi-permeable membrane. It is called reverse osmosis, as it is counter to the natural penetration direction. Different materials have different osmotic pressures. The reverse osmosis can remove more than 97% of the soluble salt and above 99% of the colloids, microorganisms, particles, and organic materials, becoming the best first-choice equipment in the engineering of modern purified water, highly purified water, and space water (super-purified water). The most highlighted features are low energy consumption, no pollution, simple technique, high-quality water, and convenient operation and maintenance.
  • UV Sterilizer: It uses UV to kill some bacteria that may also pass through the reverse osmosis system.
  • Ozone Sterilizer: Some bacteria may not be killed by UV. The sterilizer uses ozone to kill those bacteria.
